Moving from Hostinger
Three ways to do it. Most people pick the first one: about 10 minutes, and nothing goes down while it switches over.
1. Point your domain to us Recommended
Your domain stays at Hostinger (you keep paying them for it). We host the new site. You just swap two settings.
Before you start: we'll email you two nameservers that look like xxxx.ns.cloudflare.com. Have that email open.
- Hostinger dashboard > DNS (sidebar), select the domain (or Domains > Manage)
- Open DNS / Nameservers tab, click Change Nameservers
- Select 'Change nameservers' (not Hostinger's), enter up to 4 nameservers (Cloudflare's two), Save
- Up to 24 hours

Changes usually show up within a few hours, at most 24 to 48. Your old site keeps working until the switch finishes.
2. Move your domain to us
We take over the domain itself, so you get one bill (ours) for website, hosting and domain. It stays registered in your name and we renew it at cost.
- Open Domains in the dashboard, Manage next to the domain
- Turn off the Transfer lock; turn off privacy protection
- In Domain Overview, next to Authorization code click Get code
- Give us the code; start transfer at Cloudflare
Timing: More than 60 days since registration/transfer; typically 5-7 days. .uk uses an IPS tag. Moving a domain between Hostinger accounts needs no code.
Then send us: the authorization code (also called the EPP or transfer code). Paste it in your dashboard or reply to our email. Don't post it anywhere public.

3. Keep Hostinger, let us in to fix or rebuild
Best if you only want fixes or a rebuild and want to stay on Hostinger. You invite us; we never need your login.
Hostinger calls it: Account Sharing (Give Access) · Choose: Collaborator: manage files, add subdomains, edit DNS if the domain is shared; cannot purchase, transfer/unlock domains, create email, or change account details. Admin additionally can purchase with your saved payment method - avoid.
Invite this email: hello@advancingwebsites.com
- Click profile icon (top right) in the Hostinger dashboard > Account Sharing
- Click Give Access
- Select the services to share (hosting plan, domain, email) and choose Collaborator
- Enter our email and click Give Access
- We click the link in the confirmation email (sign up or sign in with Google/Facebook)

Good to know about Hostinger
- A Collaborator cannot unlock or transfer the domain - the owner must do the transfer steps.
- Per-website sharing (not whole plan) exists only on Agency plans.
- Hostinger issues unique per-site nameservers now; old ns1.dns-parking.com values are outdated.
