Moving from Porkbun

1. Point your domain to us Recommended

Your domain stays at Porkbun (you keep paying them for it). We host the new site. You just swap two settings.

Before you start: we'll email you two nameservers that look like xxxx.ns.cloudflare.com. Have that email open.

1. Log in > ACCOUNT > Domain Management
2. Details drop-down on the domain, click the edit icon on Nameservers
3. Delete existing entries, enter Cloudflare nameservers one per line, click Save Nameservers
4. Click Submit if asked to confirm (up to 48 hours)

Changes usually show up within a few hours, at most 24 to 48. Your old site keeps working until the switch finishes.

2. Move your domain to us

We take over the domain itself, so you get one bill (ours) for website, hosting and domain. It stays registered in your name and we renew it at cost.

1. Third-party guide: Domain Management > click padlock to unlock; Details dropdown > Get Authorization Code
2. Only the account owner can unlock/generate the code (authorized users cannot)
3. Give us the code; start transfer at Cloudflare

Timing: 60-day lock if recently transferred in or registrant contact changed (per third-party guide quoting Porkbun). Typically 5-7 days.

Then send us: the authorization code (also called the EPP or transfer code). Paste it in your dashboard or reply to our email. Don't post it anywhere public.

3. Keep Porkbun, let us in to fix or rebuild

Best if you only want fixes or a rebuild and want to stay on Porkbun. You invite us; we never need your login.

Porkbun calls it: Authorized Users (domain-wide DNS) or Subaccounts · Choose: Authorized User can edit DNS for ALL domains in the account but cannot unlock domains, generate auth codes or push domains. Subaccount only manages domains pushed into it.

1. Both accounts need verified email and phone and app-based 2FA or a security key
2. We create a Porkbun account first and give you our username
3. Log in, ACCOUNT menu > Authorized Users
4. Enter our Porkbun username and click Submit
5. We open the confirmation email and click 'Accept or Decline Access', then accept
6. We reach their account from the ACCOUNT menu
