Moving from Weebly / Square Online
Three ways to do it. Most people pick the first one: about 10 minutes, and nothing goes down while it switches over.
1. Point your domain to us Recommended
Your domain stays at Weebly / Square Online (you keep paying them for it). We host the new site. You just swap two settings.
Before you start: we'll email you two nameservers that look like xxxx.ns.cloudflare.com. Have that email open.
- Square Dashboard > Channels > Domains (UK: Online > Domains)
- Manage > Manage domain
- Under Nameservers click Edit nameserver, enter Cloudflare nameservers, save
- Or under DNS Records use Add DNS record to point A/CNAME instead (keeps Square nameservers)

Changes usually show up within a few hours, at most 24 to 48. Your old site keeps working until the switch finishes.
2. Move your domain to us
We take over the domain itself, so you get one bill (ours) for website, hosting and domain. It stays registered in your name and we renew it at cost.
- Square Dashboard > Channels > Domains
- Under the domain choose Manage > Manage domain
- Under Registrar lock turn off 'Enable registrar lock' (this generates the Auth code and turn off WHOIS privacy)
- Copy the Auth code and give it to us
- Start the transfer at Cloudflare Registrar
Timing: Most transfers take about 7-10 days. Changing registrant contact (name, address, email, phone) triggers a 60-day ICANN lock, so do not edit it first. No approval emails described. Some ccTLDs differ.
Then send us: the authorization code (also called the EPP or transfer code). Paste it in your dashboard or reply to our email. Don't post it anywhere public.

3. Keep Weebly / Square Online, let us in to fix or rebuild
Best if you only want fixes or a rebuild and want to stay on Weebly / Square Online. You invite us; we never need your login.
Weebly / Square Online calls it: Square Dashboard > Staff > Team > Team members (permission sets) · Choose: A permission set that includes Square Online site editing.

- Sign in to Square Dashboard
- Go to Staff > Team > Team members and click Add team member
- Enter our name and email or phone
- Choose or create a permission set and assign locations
- Generate a passcode and click Done
- We accept and sign in with our own Square login

Good to know about Weebly / Square Online
- Weebly sites now live as Square Online; sites cannot be exported as files, so plan a rebuild.
- Changing nameservers takes the Square site and connected email offline; Square suggests A/CNAME records if hosting elsewhere.
- Turning off registrar lock also turns off WHOIS privacy.
